At The Rare Zebra, we provide custom design services for jewelry, headbands and scrunchies, and business card/credit card holders. We also allow for bulk custom design orders, i.e. if you need gifts for everyone at the office, are holding a fundraiser, or want gift wrapping services done, The Rare Zebra happily provides those services. General Information
For custom designs we do require a design consultation to determine your design needs. You can fill out the TRZ Custom Designs Services inquiry form here. Design consultations take roughly 30 minutes, but please be insured, if you have questions, you can always email us at hello@therarezebra.com or call us at 513.535.8680.

At The Rare Zebra, we priode ourselves on the custom designs we provide to our clients, whether it be custom jewelry, or custom ID card holders, we ensure that your design is EXCLUSIVELY YOURS! This means we take the design we did just for you, and file it away so that design cannot be duplicated the exact way again.*
For Jewelry custom designs, once a design is approved by the client, the client has the option of requesting a mockup test piece at an additional charge (For jewelry depending on what is being designed, we make a smaller version). For headbands, scrunchies, and ID card holders, we can send a fabric swatch at an additional charge. We can also send a photo of the swatch at no additional charge.
Shipping Timelines
Please note that while we strive to get your custom designed item out to you as soon as possible, these following shipping times are ESTIMATES ONLY, and not guaranteed approximations.
- For custom jewelry, shipping of the finished product takes 2-4 weeks during non-holiday months depending on the type of jewelry being made. Shipping times for holiday months (Oct-Dec) are 2-6 weeks.
- For non-jewelry items, shipping times are 10-14 days for non-bulk orders during non-holiday months. For holiday months, Oct-Dec, shipping turnaround times are 14-21 days.
Custom/Bulk Order Invoicing and Payment Policies
Consultations for custom designs, bilk orders, and wholesale orders are completely free. The following payment policies apply for custom design, and bulk orders only. For wholesale orders, please contact us at hello@therarezebra.com for additional information.
- In order to being making your chosen designed item, a non-refundable deposit of 50% is due at the time of invoice. As soon as the deposit is remitted, we will be able to being work on your specific custom designed product.
- When your product is finished, an invoice will be sent the email provided by you for the final payment. The invoice must be paid within 48hrs to ship your item out. We will not ship your item out until payment is cleared.
- Clients may elect for express shipping for an additional cost due and will be included in the final invoice.
- FOR BULK ORDERS, payment is due at the time of invoice in order to ship order
Please note: there are no refunds on deposits nor finalized custom designed products. It is the responsibility of the client to approve all designs before construction of the product commences. For bulk orders, refunds are only offered withing 48 hours of payment remittance. A restocking fee of 15% will apply to canceled orders. There are no refunds after 48 hours.
